Boise group want library, stadium votes | Idaho Statesman
Boise Working Together, a local non-profit group, wants voters to have a say in a proposed library and downtown stadium. The group is attempting to collect enough signatures to add two initiatives to the November ballot.

The group must collect 5,000 signatures by April 30, they currently have about 1,000.

These two huge projects have high financial consequences for the city, and also will have significant impacts on parking, traffic and congestion. Giving voters the opportunity to address each one is an excellent idea.

David Klinger, spokesman for Boise Working Together, says his group will discuss whether to move forward on initiatives calling for a public vote on the new library and stadium proposals. The city says the vote would be unconstitutional.
